Plymouth, N.H. -- The search continues today for Michael Gatto, age 51, primarily of Thornton, New Hampshire, who went missing from the banks of the Baker River at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013.

Gatto was hanging out with a friend who reported him missing at 9:33 p.m. on Saturday. The two had planned to tent along the river's edge for the night, near Plymouth High School's practice fields, approximately three quarters of a mile from the confluence of the Pemigewasset River.

Conservation Officers from the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, along with Officers from the Plymouth Police Department, and a crew from the Plymouth Fire Department spent the nighttime hours on Saturday searching the river's edge and the river itself for Gatto. In the early morning hours on Sunday, searchers were joined by volunteers from New England K-9 Search and Rescue, Upper Valley Wilderness Response Team, and the New Hampshire Marine Patrol. Volunteers also searched by air and by kayak along the Baker and Pemigewasset rivers as far downriver as Bristol, N.H.

As of this time, no information as to Gatto's whereabouts has been uncovered.

No further information is available at this time.
