Freeze warning issued for much of state

The day most gardeners and farmers dread is here: The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for much of the state tonight.

Freeze warnings and frost advisories are in effect for much of Northern New England Monday night into Tuesday morning.

A cold dome of high pressure will build into the area tonight and Tuesday, with clear skies, light winds, and a dry airmass which will support temperatures dropping into the 20s and 30s. The mountains and portions of the foothills will see a hard freeze, while the weather service advises those in the southern part of the state may see frost
