Brett Wilson wins NH Mid-Am crown

Brett Wilson won the Mid-Amateur Championship golf tournament at Cocheco Country Club in Dover Saturday, shooting an even-par 70 in the final round to finish four-under at 136.

Wilson, who plays out of The Golf Club of New England in Stratham, had to hold off a charge from Craig Steckowych (Portsmouth Country Club). Steckowych was two-under on Saturday and finished two-under for the two-round tournament at 138.

Chris Rivard (Candia Woods Golf Link) was third with a 140 (two-over on Saturday). Josh Chamberlain (Crotched Mountain) finished fourth with a 141 (four-over on Saturday).

Phil Pleat (Nashua Country Club) rounded out the top five, shooting a six-over on Saturday to finish three-over with a 143.
