AG still looking into Weare police-involved shooting

A preliminary report in an undercover police drug sting that turned deadly in Weare last month won't be released for weeks, according to the state Attorney General's Office last week.

"In terms of the Weare officer-involved shooting report, it will definitely be a few more weeks before that's out and available," Senior Assistant Attorney General Susan Morrell said.

Last month, two Weare police officers fired their weapons at a man who was the target of the drug sting as he attempted to flee, she said.

Authorities said Alex Cora DeJesus, 35, of Manchester, was shot fatally in the head. Two Weare police officers were placed on administrative leave pending the investigation.
