Derry officials expect to make decision on Town Administrator Anderson soon
DERRY — The Town Council will likely decide this month whether to reinstate or fire Town Administrator John Anderson, said acting Town Administrator Larry Budreau following a special council meeting Wednesday night with Anderson and his attorney.
Anderson is on administrative leave following accusations he invited a DirectTV salesman into his home while in the nude.
Councilors met for about two hours with Anderson and his attorney, Cornelius Sullivan, in a closed-door session. The town’s attorney, Thomas Closson, also attended the meeting.
The seven councilors later emerged from the session to say no action was taken and to seal the minutes.
An inquiry into the matter continues, Budreau said.
“It’s September, something is coming,” Budreau said. “He’ll be back or he won’t.”
Anderson, 50, is charged with lewdness and indecent exposure. His arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 11 in 10th Circuit Court, Derry District Division.
