Forum to focus on Obamacare

The fifth annual New Hampshire Business Review Health Care Forum, presented by MVP Health Care, is scheduled for Oct. 1, from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.

The forum begins with a networking breakfast followed by keynote speaker Stan Hupfeld, who will discuss the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the comprehensive health reform President Obama signed into law in March 2010. Open enrollment for ACA begins Oct. 1 for coverage beginning on January 1, 2014.

Hupfeld is a health care industry insider who has worked as a hospital executive for more than 40 years, most recently as CEO of the multi-hospital system INTEGRIS Health, the largest provider of health services in Oklahoma.

After the keynote, the event will feature a discussion of the legal issues surrounding the ACA and its impact on New Hampshire's business community, along with New Hampshire-specific answers to questions about how the new health insurance exchange marketplace will work and how the ACA affects businesses.

The event will also feature a panel of New Hampshire businesspeople that will discuss how their firm has and will respond to the ACA.

An early-bird ticket rate of $37 per person and $32 for groups of ten or more is available now through September 18. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit: nhbr.com/healthcareforum.
