Concord city councilor faces challenge after vote to accept federal BearCat handout

City Councilor Amanda Grady Sexton gained an opponent for her seat after voting in favor of accepting a $258,000 grant to purchase an armored BearCat vehicle Monday night. Kevin Bloom, a lobbyist and brewery consultant, filed to run for city council in Ward 4 yesterday.
