Nashua man arrested in connection with Chestnut Street death in July
NASHUA — A local man was arrested Tuesday, charged in connection with the death of a woman who was found dead inside a Chestnut Street apartment in July.
Police said Daniel Burke, 51, of 23 Temple St., pushed Hill into a cabinet, causing her to strike her head and suffer injuries that led to her death.
Burke was charged with manslaughter, two counts of falsifying evidence and abuse of a corpse.
Hill was found July 20, wrapped in plastic and decomposing. Police said that she was found about two weeks after she died — when police received complaints of a suspicious odor in her apartment building.
In addition to wrapping Hill in plastic, Burke allegedly "wiped up blood or decomposition fluids with cleaning materials and discarded them," police said in a news release.
He is scheduled to appear at 8:30 a.m. today in Nashua Circuit Court.
