Barnstead woman in critical condition after being run over

BARNSTEAD – A local woman was airlifted by helicopter in critical condition to a Lebanon hospital after she was run over by a car early Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Fire Department Lt. Brian Cottrell would only identify the woman as a Barnstead resident. She was struck at about 12:45 p.m., he said.

"The police are investigating the circumstances and I can't comment on that," Cottrell said.

The woman suffered numerous injuries, he said.

"She had all kinds of injuries," he said. "She was in very bad shape."

A DHART helicopter landed near the town's elementary school and flew her to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center at 1:21 p.m., he said.

We have found Gov. Chris Christie to be the most consistent, the most confident in his abilities, the most tested under fire, and the most likely to regain the White House from a disastrous Democratic regime.
