Portsmouth cop denies manipulating elderly woman to secure $1.8M inheritance
PORTSMOUTH — Police Sgt. Aaron Goodwin has formally denied allegations that he unduly influenced an elderly woman with dementia to inherit most of her $1.8 million estate. Now named to inherit the late Geraldine Webber's riverfront home, its contents, stocks, bonds and a Cadillac, Goodwin asks a judge, in court documents dated Sept. 4, to uphold Webber's last will and trust. Doing so, he states through attorney Charles Doleac, would "respect the independence, dignity and feisty capacity of Geraldine Webber."
