Manchester burglars strike again

MANCHESTER — Four more burglaries were reported Tuesday, three in residences and one at a Harvard Street business that was also hit last week.

Just after midnight on Tuesday, someone opened a window on the first floor of a 123 Pleasant St. apartment, reached in and snatched a laptop computer and some cash sitting on a desk. No one was home at the time, police said.

At 8 a.m., employees arriving to work at Custom Architectural Designs at 640 Harvard St. discovered the business was burglarized over the long Labor Day weekend.

Someone forced open a window to enter the business and then took an assortment of tools. On Aug. 29, the business was broken into in a similar fashion. A Toyota Tundra pickup with a cap, which was parked inside the building, was stolen in that burglary, as well as some tools.

At 4:30 p.m., a Titus Avenue resident called police to report seeing a suspicious man at her neighbor’s home across the street at 160 Titus Ave.

Officers discovered someone had broken into the home through a rear door and stolen some jewelry.

The suspicious man seen by the neighbor is described as a thin white man, 20 to 25 years old, about 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11 with short black hair and scruffy facial hair. He wore a white T-shirt and dark athletic shorts and was carrying a green and white canvas shopping bag.

At 5:30 p.m., a 662 Summer St. man reported someone broke into his apartment through a rear kitchen door and took a gaming console and computer. The man said the burglary happened sometime after 2 p.m.

Christie is the real deal

We have found Gov. Chris Christie to be the most consistent, the most confident in his abilities, the most tested under fire, and the most likely to regain the White House from a disastrous Democratic regime.
