Twelve-year-old Manchester resident Christopher Duffley is scheduled to sing the national anthem at Fenway Park tonight before the Boston Red Sox play the Detroit Tigers.
Duffley, who is blind and autistic, was selected to perform the Star Spangled Banner for “Autism Speaks Night at Fenway Park” on behalf of the U.S. autism advocacy organization that sponsors research.
Duffley’s performance will mark his second appearance at Fenway Park. Duffley’s first appearance came in 2011, when he sang the national anthem in honor of Disability Awareness Day.
Duffley has also appeared at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, where he sang the national anthem before a NASCAR race.
