Burglars continue labors over weekend in spate of Manchester break-ins

MANCHESTER — Burglars didn’t take the long holiday weekend off in the Queen City. Manchester police reported eight residential and three commercial burglaries, one of which ended with the arrest of two juveniles.

Homes were burglarized on Beacon, Laurel (two), Norcross, Merrimack, Brock, Waterman streets and Lake Shore Road, police said. Burglars entered through open windows and pushed in air-conditioner units. In other cases, they forced open doors.

Three business buildings were burglarized: Team Nissan, the Red Barn Diner on 113 Elm St. and a warehouse at 348 Lincoln St. on Sunday evening.

Police subsequently arrested 13 and 14-year-olds in connection with the Lincoln Street break-in.
