Spitsberg, Westover win 10-mile event in Auburn


Richie Spitsberg, a 28-year-old Manchester resident, outran the field to win Saturday's New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center 10-miler in Auburn.

Spitsberg completed the race in 58 minutes, 15.21 seconds. Weare's Mike Veilleux was second in 1:01:45.

Heidi Westover of Walpole set a course record for females. Westover finished third overall in 1:02.27.

The race was the fifth event in the MVP Health Care Millennium Running Series.
