Londonderry firefighters battle large debris fire at flea market

LONDONDERRY — Firefighters from area towns took two hours to knock down the flames from a large debris fire at the flea market on Route 102 early Saturday, authorities said.
Flames shot up 30 feet in the air from the debris pile, which was about 75 feet by 30 feet in size and 15 feet high, according to the fire department.
Water tankers from Hudson, Litchfield and Windham along with an aerial truck from Nashua helped battle the blaze, reported at 3:40 a.m. All companies were released at 5:27 a.m. due to severe thunderstorms in the area. Londonderry fire crews returned at 11:35 a.m. to complete extinguishing the fire.
The fire's cause remains under investigation.
