Police search for Salem shoplifter

SALEM - Police are searching for a woman they say stole more than $100,000 in merchandise from several stores at Rockingham Park Mall and possibly from malls in Nashua and Peabody, Mass.

Sgt. Jason Smith said the woman took items from numerous stores, including Abercrombie & Fitch, Sephora and Victoria's Secret.

He said Salem police were contacted by police in Peabody to be on the lookout for a woman who shoplifted from stores at Northshore Mall.

"There was over $100,000 worth of merchandise that she believed responsible for removing from stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire," Smith said.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call police at 893-1911.
