Cilley leaving as Shea-Porter’s district director
Shea-Porter’s office said only that Cilley, of Barrington, is pursuing “other opportunities.”
Cilley is a former two-term state senator who lost to Maggie Hassan in last year’s Democratic gubernatorial primary. Top Democratic sources said that while party insiders are speculating that Cilley may have plans to seek office again, she has no plans to run against any incumbent Democrat for governor, executive council or state senator in 2014.
Gilboy started working for Shea-Porter in 2008. A New England native, Gilboy holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Elon University.
“Our office thanks Jackie Cilley for her service to New Hampshire,” Shea-Porter said. “We appreciate the work that Jackie did helping to get our Manchester and Rochester district offices up and running, and we wish her luck in her future endeavors.”
