Superior Court schedules hearing on LGC return of surplus funds

This morning, the coalition of communities involved in the LGC return of illegal surplus matter received notification from their legal counsel, Attorney Chuck Douglas of Douglas, Leonard & Garvey, PC, that a hearing date on the LGC return of surplus has been set for September 17th by the Strafford County Superior Court. However, the distribution of surplus funds is scheduled by the LGC for tomorrow, August 27, 2013. Town Manager Todd Selig states, "It appears that no stay will be issued by the Court in time to forestall the distribution."
