TWIN MOUNTAIN - New Hampshire State Police Wednesday identified the man killed Monday at the scene of a head-on collision near Mt. Washington as Harry Goodwin, 67, of Milan.
The crash involved at least seven people and happened shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Route 16 in Pinkham's Grant, state police said, in the vicinity of the Appalachian Mountain Club Lodge.
Goodwin was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix that collided with a Toyota Sienna. Police said Wednesday the car was driven by Kevin Douglas, 48, of Woodstock, Conn. Douglas and his passengers were treated and released from Memorial Hospital in Conway.
The Douglas vehicle had been traveling north when it crossed the highway center line "for an unknown reason" and struck Goodwin's car, causing him fatal traumatic injuries, state police said in a news release Monday.
Police said the cause of the crash is under investigation. They released no additional information Wednesday.
