Hudson man charged with drunken driving after afternoon crash


HUDSON -- Police have charged the driver of a pick-up truck with drunken driving after his truck ran off Wason Road into a gully.

The driver, Arthur Eldredge, 52, of Hudson, was not hurt, but a passenger, Donald Drayer, 41, of Hudson,w as taken to Southern New Hampshire Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.

Eldredge was arrested at the scene and charged with driving while intoxicated and violation of the open container law. He was released pending arraignment in Nashua District Court on Sept. 5.

The accident forced the closure of a section of Wason Road while the crash was investigated and the Ford F150 truck removed. The road reopened at about 6 p.m.
