Man tells police he escaped carjacker in Hooksett

MANCHESTER - Police are investigating a report from a man who told investigators he had been carjacked at gunpoint and forced to drive around randomly before he escaped.
Police say the man ran through a wooded area to Interstate 293, where a state trooper spotted him on the side of the road.
Zeke Leblanc, 31, of Derry, told police he was traveling on Londonderry Turnpike in Manchester and stopped at a red light at the intersection of Wellington Road. He said another man jumped into the passenger seat, told him to drive and showed him a black pistol.
Leblanc said he drove around randomly for about half an hour until the man told him to pull behind a commercial building. Leblanc said when the other man ordered him to get out of the car, he grabbed the keys and took off running into the woods behind the building.
Police found the vehicle at 180 W. River Road.
Leblanc told police he did not know the man and had no idea why he would be targeted. Leblanc refused to comment when contacted by a reporter.
