Fisher Cats set for Manchester school supply event

August 13. 2013 8:00PM

MANCHESTER — The New Hampshire Fisher Cats will distribute more than 4,100 bags of free school supplies to Manchester families on Wednesday.

The Fisher Cats and the Fisher Cats Foundation have partnered again with Manchester Christian Church, Queen City Paint and the Ted Williams Museum to present Manchester Goes Back to School at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium from 5 to 6:30 p.m.

Other sponsors at the event will offer face painting, free spins on the Fisher Cats’ Prize Wheel, kids’ games, raffles, yogurt samples, free haircuts and free eye exams.

Last year, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats distributed 3,000 bags of school supplies to children in Manchester. This year, the church accepted a bigger challenge of 4,000 bags. That goal was exceeded during Sunday collections.
