Fire chief skeptical of clamor for lower speed limit in wake of newlywed fatal on Route 4

'This (meeting) is a knee-jerk reaction to a recent tragedy. The speed limit could have been 30 mph and that young woman would still have been killed,' Fire Chief Michael Spinney said in a letter. 'It is because of the actions made by one man in an inebriated state that this woman died.'
