Driver battles Portsmouth 'little taxi wars'
John Palreiro wants a medallion to drive his own taxi in Portsmouth, a city with an undisputed cab shortage on weekend nights, when fights have broken out over available cabs. Back-stabbing competitors, too few medallions and a taxi commission that regularly lacks a quorum to govern have been obstacles, he said.
