Two held on drug charges in Hampton

HAMPTON – A man and woman are under arrest after a police investigation into heroin being sold in town.

Heidi Johnson, 33, of 19 Robin Lane, was arrested at her home Friday on a warrant charging her with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.

In a search of her home that same day, investigators said they seized drugs, money and electronics.

They also arrested Jonathan Peters, 28, who lives there as well, and charged him with two counts of possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and one charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

Johnson is being detained in the Rockingham County jail on $2,500 cash bail, and on Monday investigators charged her with endangering the welfare of a child and a second count of possession of controlled drugs with the intent to distribute.

Peters is also being detained at the jail on $2,500 cash bail.

Greenland police assisted Hampton officers in the investigation.
