LEBANON – Three men, two from Vermont, were busted Tuesday on charges they possessed and sold heroin in the city.
Police confiscated 337 small bags of heroin, along with about $6,400 in cash. Interim Police Chief Gary Smith said the drugs seized had a street value of about $6,800.
Jason Brooks, 32, of Walpole, is charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possessing the controlled drug Suboxone. Police said he had 330 bags of heroin in his possession.
Also arrested was Travis Frenette, 27, of Winooski, Vt., on charges of possessing heroin and conspiracy to commit controlled drug acts prohibited. Investigators said he possessed seven bags of heroin and $6,390 in cash.
Kyle Tetreault, 23, of Vergennes, Vt., is charged with possession of heroin. Police said he had two bags of heroin on him.
The undercover investigation began a few days before the arrests, Smith said. Brooks was arrested first after investigators allegedly found him with the heroin in his car in a parking lot in the city.
The other two men were arrested later the same day.
