Ex-millionaire Karl Hahn hit with $10.5 million federal lawsuit

PORTSMOUTH — A local filmmaker has filed a federal lawsuit against former millionaire Karl Hahn, asking a federal judge to order Hahn to pay $10.5 million for alleged financial fraud. Through Boston attorney Charles Bennett, filmmaker Chase Bailey filed the suit in the U.S. District Court of New Hampshire, asking a judge to enforce a prior order by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, which said Hahn owes Bailey $4.1 million in compensatory damages, plus $6.4 million in punitive damages.
