Kieran L. Ramsey, previously supervisory FBI agent for New Hampshire, was appointed assistant special agent in charge of the Boston office where he oversees counter terrorism, the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the agency's New Hampshire and Maine offices.
Ramsey said Friday he directly oversees the Boston Marathon bombings investigation since he was named to the second-ranking position in charge of counter terrorism.
William Scott O'Donnell took over Monday as supervisory agent in charge of New Hampshire's FBI offices in Bedford and Portsmouth.
O'Donnell previously was in charge of the Boston bureau's organized crime squad.
