Court tosses perjury charge against Salem man acquitted in 'cold case' death of teen

LOWELL -- Seven months after a Salem, N.H., man was cleared of the 1969 "cold case" murder of 15-year-old John McCabe, a superior court judge has thrown out the perjury charge that alleges Michael Ferreira lied to a grand jury probing the murder .
