Aug. pilgrimage to honor slain Keene civil rights worker

Jonathan Myrick Daniels, 26, of Keene, N.H., had joined in the march from Selma to Montgomery, Ala., and then decided to stay in Alabama to work as part of the civil rights movement. He was fatally shot by a part-time deputy, now deceased, that an all-white jury later acquitted of manslaughter..
