Portsmouth Herald: COAST needs state help to serve disabled local riders




COAST is mandated under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to provide door-to-door service with a wheelchair accessible van for qualified residents. As the Seacoast continues to get older an increasing number of people are qualifying for this service, which cost COAST $180,000 in 2009 and is projected to cost $1.4 million in 2014.
