New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick appears pleased with Tim Tebow so far, but he stopped short of revealing any plans for how the team might use him in their offense this season.

“I think that we’ll use Tim wherever we feel like he’s best for the team,” Belichick said, accoding to, “and I know that’s what he’s committed to doing, as well. Whatever that is.” reported that the former Denver Broncos and New York Jets quarterback was catching passes during training camp drills on Friday. With Aaron Hernandez no longer a part of the team and Rob Gronkowski coming back from surgery, there could be an opportunity at tight end or as an H-back.

“He’s got a great work ethic. Great,” Belichick said of Tebow.

Belichick also said cornerback Alfonzo Dennard remains on the team and is practicing after his recent arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.

“We have 90 players out there,” Belichick said. “Our roster is at 90 players. We’re full. They’re all active. They’ll all be participating.”

Dennard already was facing a 30-day jail sentence for assaulting a police officer in Nebraska before he was drafted in April 2012.

There is a chance that the NFL could suspend Dennard under its personal-conduct policy.
