Londonderry man indicted for possessing child pornography

BRENTWOOD — A Londonderry man who police say kept images of underage girls exposing themselves on his iPad was indicted for possessing child pornography.

Jeffrey Velliquette, 42, of Heritage Lane, was indicted earlier this month in Rockingham County Superior Court on six counts of possession of child sexual abuse images.

Police said they received a tip that Velliquette had the illegal images on his iPad and went to his home to interview him.

That interview prompted investigators to get a search warrant for Velliquette’s home, which turned up the images that led to his arrest on Dec. 14.

Indictments made public Friday said that Velliquette had possession of at least a half-dozen images since June 20, 2012.

Prosecutors say the photos show the girls exposing themselves in various poses.

Velliquette, who remains free on $5,000 bail, faces up to 7 ½ to 15 years in state prison on each of the charges.

He is scheduled to appear Aug. 1 in superior court for arraignment.
