Police arrest man and woman on separate animal cruelty charges
ROCHESTER — A local woman who allegedly left two dogs in her car while shopping and a man who allegedly threw a dog against a wall were each arrested Friday by police on animal cruelty charges.
Police said Katie Grullon, 26, of 10 Moores Court, left her dogs in a car while at the Rochester Market Place on Wednesday. Police found the dogs "in distress" inside the car, they said. In a separate incident, Anthony Lane, 38, of 178 Jamey Drive, is accused of throwing a dog against a wall July 9, police said.
Both are scheduled to appear Aug. 19 in Rochester District Court.
