Thibodeau takes sixth in AJGA Junior Tournament

Three-time New Hampshire Women’s Golf Association junior champion Lauren Thibodeau of Hampstead finished in a tie for sixth place in a field of 24 golfers in the 54-hole AJGA Junior Tournament at Tedesco in Marblehead, Mass., Thursday.

The 13-year-old standout finished 76-80-75-231 and ended 11 strokes behind winner Anna Zhou (73-75-72-220) of Palo Alto, Calif.

Chelsea Sedlar of Merrimack placed 24th overall with a 91-88-86-265 score.

On the boys’ side, newly crowned NHGA junior champion Tom Hixon (76-80-71-227) of Rye ended in a tie for 34th in a field of 72 golfers.
