MANCHESTER — Street hockey games in Manchester will not be interrupted by oncoming traffic for a few hours on Saturday.
The city is shutting down a section of Elm Street outside the Verizon Wireless Arena from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a street hockey tournament hosted by the Manchester Monarchs.
Police sent an advisory Thursday warning drivers to plan around the closure on Elm from the Granite Street/Lake Avenue intersection south to Auburn Street.
The tournament is part of the Monarchs’ third annual Summer Fan Festival.
