Crash shuts down part of Route 101 in Peterborough

PETERBOROUGH — Emergency responders were busy late Sunday afternoon at the scene of what dispatchers termed a “serious” accident in Peterborough.

Route 101 in Peterborough was shut down shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon, following a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle.The initial call came in at 4:08 p.m., and several area agencies were dispatched to the scene.
Police closed Route 101 at Old Dublin Road to traffic, and officers also shut down a portion of Union Street between Old Dublin Road and Route 101.
A DHART medical flight was called to the scene, with a landing zone set up on Route 101 at Bernier Road.No other details were made available Sunday afternoon.
