Bedford latest community hit in wave of burglaries

BEDFORD – A series of burglaries that has plagued the state in recent weeks extended into Bedford this weekend, as three separate residential burglaries were reported in a 24-hour period.

The first was discovered by residents of a Ministerial Road home on Friday night at about 11:30 p.m.

On Saturday morning, Boynton Street residents reported a break-in at their home.

Then, on Saturday night at about 9 p.m., a break-in during the day time or in the early evening was reported on Lynn Drive.

Police said similar items were taken in the three breaks. Other evidence is being examined to determine whether the three cases are related.
