Police looking for man who tried to steal TVs from Tilton Walmart

TILTON — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who they say tried to steal two 32-inch flat-screen televisions from the Walmart store in Tilton Friday.

According to police, they responded to the store at 2:27 p.m. at the request of the store's loss-prevention department, which had stopped the man at the door.

Upon being stopped, the man left the television sets and fled on foot in the direction of the adjacent Market Basket store, police said.

Anyone recognizing the man is asked to call Tilton police at 286-4442.
