Patriots recognize Manchester volunteer

MANCHESTER — The Manchester VA Medical Center congratulates Georgette Levesque, who received a second-prize award at the Myra Kraft Community MVP Awards on June 12.

Because of her work, Levesque earned the medical center a $10,000 grant from the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation.

She has given more than 24,900 volunteer hours in the Community Living Center and is an indispensable colleague and member of the VA community, according to a news release from the medical center.

The services she provides to residents are instrumental in allowing veterans to receive care in a home-like atmosphere, the release said.
