Bedford tops Goffstown in District I Little League tourney

Noah Hughes collected three hits and drove in a run to lead Bedford past Goffstown 9-6 in a loser’ bracket New Hampshire District I 11-12-year-old Little League Tournament game Wednesday in Goffstown.

Bedford advances to Friday’s 6 p.m. losers’ bracket finals at Manchester North. The winner on Friday will face Salem on Saturday.

Liam O’Connell had a single and a double for Bedford, which scored seven runs in the fourth inning.

Goffstown, which was eliminated from the double elimination tournament, was led by Conner Hujsak with two homers and four RBIs. Conor O’Connell had two hits in the loss.
