Gov. Hassan taps acting director to permanently head up NH Homeland Security agency.
Hassan announced Tuesday that she and Department of Safety Commissioner John Barthelmes jointly nominated Perry Plummer to serve a full three-year term as HSEM director. Plummer has been serving as the acting director since Jan. 3.
Plummer began his career in public safety in 1986 as a firefighter in Dover. He was promoted through the department, eventually becoming Dover’s fire chief.
