'Open Days' tour features Merrimack Valley gardens

Six noteworthy private residential gardens in the Merrimack Valley will be open to the public this Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The openings are part of the Garden Conservancy's national Open Days program, which raises funds to restore and preserve major public landscapes such as the Fells estate on Lake Sunapee in Newbury.

Open July 13 and 14 are:

• Danielle's Garden, 22 Karen Road, Windham;

• The Fortnam Gardens, 18 Cambridge Road, Nashua

• Patty Humphrey's garden, 78 Garvin Hill Road, Chichester;

• Robert Gillmore's Evergreen, 41 Summer St., Goffstown;

• Lane Johnson's large Japanese-style landscape, 133 Baptist Road, Canterbury; and

• Tiffany Gardens, 15 King John Drive, Londonderry.

Admission to each garden is $5. The gardens are open rain or shine.

For more information, including directions, visit www.gardenconservancy.org/opendays or contact the Conservancy at 845-424-6500 or opendays@garden conservancy.org.
