Libby Pool in Gorham closed due to dangerous levels of fecal bacteria

GORHAM – The Libby Pool has been closed since Thursday, July 4, after state testing revealed a higher than acceptable level of fecal bacteria in the water.Gorham Parks and Recreation Director Jeff Stewart explained that the state Department of Environmental Services tests the water at Libby Pool three times a year to ensure it is safe for swimming.
