Pembroke man found dead in Concord Sunday
CONCORD — Local and state police are investigating the death of a Pembroke man whose body was found in a wooded area in Concord Sunday.
On Sunday, state police from Troop D and Concord police were called to a wooded area off of Fort Eddy Road, near the 393 Bridge overpass, to investigate a report of a possible deceased male.
The man, identified as John Tonkin, 52, whose last known address was 738 Burough Road in Pembroke, according to police was living in a homeless camp and discovered unresponsive by his friends early Sunday morning.
The cause of the death has not been determined, and an autopsy is scheduled for this morning.
The man’s death remains under investigation by Troop D, and anyone with information should contact Trooper Jones or the New Hampshire State Police at 223-4381.
