Concord woman rescued from Winnipesaukee River
TILTON -- A Concord woman was rescued from the Winnipesaukee River on Saturday after she got in trouble tubing along the river, authorities said.
The 60-year-old woman, was thrown from her tube and clung to an abutment of a foot bridge off East Main Street, according to Capt. Greg Michaud of the Tilton-Northfield Fire and EMS.
A passerby was able to get her a life vest. The woman, who wasn't identified, was rescued when she climbed up a ladder that the fire department had lowered from the foot bridge around 3:40 p.m.
The woman wasn't injured.
