Souhegan High principal resigns
AMHERST - Jon Ingram resigned last week after three years as principal at Souhegan High School, according to school board Chairman Mary Lou Mullens.
The school board accepted his resignation Tuesday night.
"In his resignation letter to Superintendent Peter Warburton, he stated that he would like to find employment opportunities closer to home and is also interested in furthering his education," Mullens said in an email.
Superintendent Peter Warburton "will step in as acting principal temporarily and will work with the board and administration to come up with a thoughtful plan for replacing Jon," she said. "We will be keeping the communities abreast of what is going on as things evolve."
