Amid strife, Troy native lives and teaches in Egypt

But to one man who grew up in Troy, Egypt has been a place where he and his wife can walk from their home to the school where they teach. It’s been a place where they’re friendly with the cab driver who takes them to the store for groceries. And it’s a place where they felt comfortable enough to start a family.
