Heavy rain causes Lebanon flooding

CONCORD - Gov. Maggie Hassan said Tuesday that state Emergency Operations Center is in touch with local response teams in Lebanon over flooding in that city.

"In response to the 2.11 inches of rain that fell in the Lebanon area from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. this afternoon, which follows flooding from last night's rains, our emergency management personnel have opened the state's Emergency Operations Center and are in close contact with local response teams," the governor said in a statement. "We will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide any assistance needed for responding to this flooding to the affected Upper Valley communities."
