Tesla petitions to sell its all-electric Model S sedan direct to car buyers

Silicon-Valley based Tesla Motors wants you to be able to skip the dealership and buy its EVs direct. That sounds like great news – especially if you’ve ever found yourself haggling over the price of floor-mats – but legal battles in a number of states are trying to stop Tesla from cutting dealers out of the deal.
